For three days only in April, 143 Bellenden Road will host an exhibition showcasing a diverse range of contemporary works on paper including limited edition prints and unique works made in south London. All works will be available for sale, the majority priced under £500.
The show will bring together work by an exciting group of artists who make work south of the river including Katherine Jones, Joseph Goodey, Tamsin Relly, Jack Kettlewell, Simon Lawson, Fran Giffard, Amy Stephens and Natalia Gonzales Martin. Also showing work made in south London will be Shetland Islands-based artist Amy Gear.
Diverse in terms of technique and subject matter, the exhibiting artists’ work explores a range of concerns including abstraction, contemporary interpretations of the landscape – both natural and man-made – as well as ornithological and archaeological-inspired imagery. Overall, the variety of work by both recently graduated and established artists will show the strength and dynamism of the local artistic community.
143 Bellenden Road is currently home to clothing and homewares boutique, Bias, which will be closing permanently on Easter Saturday.
