Hospital Rooms – Eileen Skellern I, hosted by Griffin Gallery is an exhibition and fundraiser celebrating the completion of our recent project at the Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit for Women at The Maudsley Hospital, South London. The show documents the work made by the seven artists involved which are myself, Pareesha Amin, Harold Offeh, Nengi Omuku, Julian Opie, Aimee Mullins and Tim A Shaw.
Mental health care is a subject close to my heart. It was a real privilege to work with Hospital Rooms and extraordinary to see the ward transform with each artists’ contribution. So I am delighted to help support future Hospital Rooms projects with a new limited edition print, Pink Shadow (2018), where proceeds will go towards the charity. The print is based on the work I created for the ward and will be on view at the exhibition this week. It can also be purchased directly through the charity.
