We have two spaces available in our lovely shared open-plan studio:

SPACE A: Long-term

  • Personal table & wall space (around 80 sq ft), with use of shared print area.
  • Available from December 2024 onwards.
  • £254 p/m, plus electricity.
    (The annual lease for our studio as a group renews in May, so the breakdown of each artist’s area will be reviewed then.)

SPACE B: Sub-let (during maternity leave)

  • Personal table & wall space with optional use of shared print area.
  • Available from December 2024 onwards.
  • 6-month agreement (negotiable).
  • £160–£220 p/m (negotiable depending on space needs/press access), plus £25 sign-up fee and electricity bills.

GENERAL FEATURES:

  • 1st floor, 3.5m ceilings, 3 large windows (1 south-facing).
  • Brush sinks nearby.
  • Wifi included.
  • 24-hour access.
  • Bike racks in secure yard.
  • Free street parking and on-site parking for loading.

MORE ABOUT THE PRINTMAKERS OPTION

LOOKING FOR:
A printmaker whose use of strong solvents is minimal.

ABOUT:
The print studio is equipped with:

  • 26″ x 48″ Rochat Press.
  • Hot plate.
  • Paper soaking tray.
  • Blotting area.
  • Print drying beds.
  • Inking/paper cutting zone.
  • Inks, materials & paper storage.

We prioritize using non-toxic solvents and keep any regular solvents to a rare minimum.

The open-plan studio is shared by a total of 5 artists (640 sq ft).
The print area (160 sq ft) is shared between 3–4 artists.
Each printmaker also has their own desk/studio area.

The print studio is currently shared by:

  • Tamsin Relly: Works with water-based monotypes, painting, and occasional etching.
  • Julia Peintner: Focuses on Japanese woodcuts, monotypes, painting, and drawing.

Another artist, Will Lindley, shares the open plan but does not use the print zone (works on paper and wood, video, and installation).
