*****MORE ABOUT THE PRINTMAKERS OPTION ****
We are looking for a printmaker whose use of strong solvents is minimal.
The print studio is equipped with:
26″ x 48″ Rochat Press
Paper soaking tray
Print drying beds
Inking / paper cutting zone
Inks, materials & paper storage
We all use non-toxic solvents wherever possible, and keep any regular solvents to a rare minimum.
The open plan studio is shared between a total of 5 artists
(640 sq ft)
The print area is shared between 3 – 4 of those artists.
(160 squ ft)
Each of the 3 – 4 printmakers would have an additional desk/studio area of their own
(Aprox 80 squ ft each.)
Tamsin works with water-based monotypes, painting and occasionally etching. She is currently present on average once a week. This will reduce further over her maternity period starting at the beginning of May.
Julia works primarily with Japanese wood cuts, monotypes, painting and drawing. She is currently present on average 3 days a week.
One other artist currently shares the open plan but doesn’t use the print zone: Will Lindley (work on paper and wood, video, installation). He is in a few days a week on average.
There are periods where each of us are away for a few weeks at a time.
The personal desk/studio zone available for the printmaker now, would be next to one other new artist (There are various ways that the area could be arranged & divided, so the precise layout could be worked out by the two of you together.)
